LAGBUS offers free Bus Ride to Lagosians


'The Lagos State Government through LAGBUS will provide free bus rides to residents on Easter Monday, April 21'. The LAGBUS Public Relations  Officer, Mrs Oluyemi Junaid, announced.

This is to promote the use of public transportation, as well as reduce congestion on Lagos roads on the day,’’
 
She said that the free bus rides were also to celebrate the annual Lagos Carnival, tagged LASGIDI, which coincided with Easter Monday.

According to the statement, the rides will be provided on all LAGBUS routes across the metropolis, between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m.

The Managing Director of LAGBUS, Mr. Babatunde Disu, urged residents to be careful and moderate, in order to ensure a hitch-free celebration. 

Gov. Babatunde Fashola urged travelers and residents to be alert and vigilant at motor parks and to be proactive to raise alarm on suspicious characters and situations.

"If you see something unusual, say something," he said.
